New Search Based Keyword Tool from Google

December 14, 2008   ·   Adwords   ·   Be the first to comment

I was buried deep into my Adwords account almost all day today and I realized they just added a bad ass new keyword tool called the Search Based Keyword Tool.

After messing around with it for awhile it’s actually a very powerful tool for analyzing your website to see where you are dropping the ball on some advertising opportunity. One site of mine that I send about 1000 clicks a day to was losing out on over 750 keywords and about 1500 more clicks per day. The tool actually suggests which keywords you use and which pages to send them to. Google claims that the tool gives you “highly” related keyword to page relevancy which to me means good starting quality score.

This is a powerful to so get on it and start making some more money.

Arbitrage Conspiracy - Im on it!

December 13, 2008   ·   Reviews   ·   Be the first to comment

With that title your probably wondering what the hell I am talking about. Let me explain…

I was screwing around yesterday and like some people I have a yahoo email account that I use strictly to opt in to all of the gurus lists with or whenever I buy a product. This is a good technique to see how people market to their lists by the way. Anyways…

I came across an email from Brad Fallon talking about some dude who makes $50k + everyday with PPC and CPA offers and yes I said $50,000 a day. Now I don’t get real motivated to click through and read about claims like this but for some reason I did and the shit is real. Every top dog in internet marketing is on the guys sales page straight up saying “yep, this works and you will make money”.

I spent about 30 min skimming through the page and I ended up dropping $1997 for the coaching program which starts monday. I have dropped some cash on programs in the past but I feel pretty damn good about this one. The reason this guy got my trust is honestly going to teach the members what he does to make this kind of money. The reason he’s doing this is because he is going to start his own CPA network and he wants all his students to promote his offers on his network. Makes perfect sense!

Ill keep you posted on this and I think it’s gonna be big. I make some money online, but $50k a day! That’s down right ballin! I’ll take $1.5mil a month any day.

Buying or Selling a Website? Is Now the Right Time?

December 6, 2008   ·   Site Flipping   ·   Be the first to comment

The economy sucks, people are losing their jobs and more and more people are turning to the internet to find a way to make some money. Is it the right time to buy or sell a website? In my honest opinion, I would be buying up websites right now if you have the money.  I am buying as many good ones as I can come across right now. Here’s why…

Think about it, people need money right now not only because of the holidays but because of our current economic crisis. Guys and girls with a website making them a couple hundred bucks a month are going for the lump sum payouts as opposed to riding it out. Bad for them, good for us. While I do believe that we will pull out of this mess these little websites im buying up will pick up in revenue over time with a little TLC and I will either keep them or flip them for profit later on. It’s just like a major corporation, if you have the money start aquiring assets to add to your portfolio making your business worth more money.

As for sellers, if you want to get the biggest bang for your website you may want to wait for the new year or springtime ‘09 before you put your sites on the market.

Getting Ranked in The Search Engines Made Easy

December 5, 2008   ·   SEO   ·   Be the first to comment

This post applies to anyone that wants to get their articles, blogs or websites ranked in the search engines. If you follow this guide you should have no issues nailing some top spots in the “Big 3″ (Google, Yahoo and MSN).

I don’t care what you’ve been told about SEO in the past, I am here to tell you what my experience has been and what factors really count when your trying to ranked in the search engines. The biggest factor is natural looking one-way incoming anchor text links to your website, article or blog. An example:

Let’s say you had an Ezine aritcle out there and the keyword you are trying to get ranked on so your article soars to the top is “online dating”. Of course your article is going to talk about online dating but that wont be enough in most cases to put you at the top of the results. You need incoming text links from other genuine sources. What if you could get a respectable blog to write up a 400 word article on dating that links back to your ezine article? This would look pretty good in Google’s eyes along with the other search engines. Here is an example of an article that would have an outgoing anchor text link to your article that would certainly help out:

“Have you ever considered finding your special someone on the internet as opposed to going out to the bar every weekend? Many people are finding out that the online dating game is becoming more and more popular for finding a possible future mate. Yadda..Yadda..Yadda…..”

Notice how “online dating” is a link out from my article to date.com. This is called a one-way anchor text link. Of course the link would be pointing to your ezine article or blog or whatever but you get my point. This is like a vote in the search engines eyes for your website, blog or article for that keyword so they will consider ranking your content for that keyword.

Now normally you would have to pay a lot of money or beg someone to give you links like this from their website but there two powerful programs I use to get my own links back to my sites. One is called Buy Blog Reviews and the other is called Linkvana. Linkvana is the more powerful of the two and you are in full control of the system.

With Linkvana you can login to your own account and write as many articles as you want with links pointing to all of your websites, blogs and articles forcing them to rank higher and faster then trying to beg people for links or paying per article for someone else to write them and put them on their blog. Check these services out as they are highly effective and they let you have all the control. I’m not sure if Linkvana has any open memberships left but check them out and give it a shot.

Adwords For Dummies - Part 1

December 5, 2008   ·   Adwords   ·   Be the first to comment

So you’re finally tired of writing articles and creating blogs to make affiliate sales and you figure it’s about time to start going head to head with the giant. Let me start by saying that Google Adwords isn’t as easy as it used to be but with the proper approach it can still be profitable.

Let’s get a couple of things out of the way before I begin studdering on about my strategies and theories. You need to understand that any paid advertising is a risk. You should never spend more than you can lose and adwords allows you to control your budget so that your not blowing the kids college fund so be sure to make your capaign settings carefully. Also, as time progresses I will be adding some fairly advanced and riskier techniques on this blog that should only be taken up by experienced adwords users so don’t try anything unless you know what your doing.

Deciding on what and how you are going to promote a product:

If you are going to be using adwords to promote a product then you need to be selective in what you promote so that you can make sure your profitable. Let’s stick with the Clickbank marketplace to find a product to promote. There are a couple factors I consider when choosing a product:

  • How much I make per sale
  • Gravity of the product
  • Is there at least 2 more competing products (so I can create a review page)

I make sure that I am making at least $20 per sale and that the gravity is 25+ and that there are at least 2 more competing products so that I can create a review or comparison page of the products to pre-sell my traffic. You also have to take into consideration how competitive the niche is and if it will even be worth it to try and compete. Go to Google.com and type in the name of the product you are thinking about promoting into the search box. Now look at how many advertisers there are in the sponsored listings. If there are 10 on the first page you will notice that if you follow down the right hand column of advertisers that there will be a link at the bottom that says “more sponsored links”. Click on that and it will give you a display of all of the advertisers ads along with how many pages there are, so you can figure that if there are 10 pages of advertisers at 10 ads per page then there are 100 advertisers and you are going to be fighting tooth and nail to get people to your site while making sales profitably. If there 3 pages or less of competitors thats fine we can work with that.

Go and do everything that I told you, find 3 competing products that pay decent and aren’t saturated with advertisers and then come back and get into Step 2 of Adwords for Dummies (don’t you love how I cut out right when you’re getting on a roll with this? Don’t get all bent out of shape, it makes you actually take action and learn this properly. I will have Step 2 up shortly)

Beginners Guide to Making Money Online

December 4, 2008   ·   Newbies   ·   Be the first to comment

So you want to make money on the internet, huh? Depending on what you’ve been exposed to already, you may want to forget everything you’ve been told and start fresh with some advice that you can take to the bank.

There are several ways to make money online and yep I hate to disappoint, but it will, at some point, cost you time and money to make any significant amount of money. I spend anywhere from $500-$1000 on advertising to make 5 figures a month or a profit of about $800 a day. Of course I didn’t just roll down to the bank and ask for a visa black card where I have to spend $50k a month just to keep it. I built may way up from the ground starting with $20 a day for marketing, I wrote articles with my affiliate link in them and submitted them all over the internet I started several free blogs promoting products etc…It sucked to be quite honest.

There are a couple programs that I highly recommend for a beginner before you can really even understand or use some of the advice I am giving you on this blog. I could create a completely seperate blog about making money for newbies but I suggest you take a $50 bill and spend it wisely on a program that will fast track you to making some cash.

Now I I honestly believe that a lot of these programs out there are bullshit and they fill your head with outdated strategies but there are three programs I have personally purchased and used in the past that have helped me and a boat load of other new people. Here is goes:

  • My Online Income System - This system gives you a 60-day easy to follow action plan that tells you exactly what to do each and everyday for 60 days. At the end you will be making some money. Another system that is tied to this that I recommend first is called Your Free Website System. The cost of the MOIS system is $47 and sometimes you can catch in on sell but she may have stopped doing this.
  • Wealthy Affiliate - Wealthy Affiliate is another good program but it will set you back $40 a month. They have a ton of tools and resources and it will take you a minute to get used to their system but overall you will learn with this course.
  • Commission Blueprint - this program is all about making money with Clickbank. If you want an all meat and no bones program to get started as an affiliate then this one will get you off to a great start.

Pick one of these programs and make it work. Don’t quit and be lazy, just follow the program and do exactly as they say. That’s why I prefer the My Online Income System because it literally takes you by the hand and forces you to make money. This system also offers a perk that the others don’t and that’s one-on-one coaching. Someone will be able to hold your hand and hold you accountable, again, forcing you to get this stuff down. Get r done!

Website Flipping - My Story

December 4, 2008   ·   Site Flipping   ·   Be the first to comment

Website flipping is serious business and if you do it properly you will make very good money. It’s a great business model whether you want to do it full-time or you do here and there to make money when you’re in a crunch.

Believe it or not, I to have been in a few crunches from making dumb mistakes and site flipping has always bailed me out. Hell, I was able to quit my job because I flipped a site for 30k and that was all it took to get my internet marketing career started. I flipped a lot more sites since then and site flipping has brought in over 100k for me in the last 2 years. I never took it up as a consistent business model but I did flip sites when I needed money for a new project or I just plain needed money.

The only drawback to site flipping is the work involved. You have to build the sites, market them, make them profitable, you have to deal with the customer, help them get their sites setup on their server and it can be such a damn headache. However, if you’re ok with all of that for the sake of making some decent scratch from home than so be it. I know a guy that does it full-time and he made over $700k last year. I know another guy who had 50 website templates that he sold over and over and made 70k a year just selling them for a couple hundred bucks a pop.

For me, I use website flipping as a way to fund a new project or if I need some quick cash. I don’t like doing all that work so it will not work for me as a full-time gig but I will be posting a lot of cool info on this business model so that if you want to tear it up you most certainly can.

Bad Economy…New Year: Get On These Niches Fast

December 3, 2008   ·   Niche News   ·   Be the first to comment

Despite the piss poor economy and government we are dealing with right now people are still raking in loot hand over fist in the right niches. It doesn’t matter if you are a product developer or an affiliate there are a few niches you need to focus on now and the near future to be sure you kick off the new year right.

With the economy so bad and the media freaking the hell out of everyone, people are tightening up that wallet for a rainy day. You need to be in the right niches to make money and I am going to expose them right here along with give you some actionable tips to start banging out some sales.

The Niches to get into today:

  • Work at home/business opportunity
  • Desperate buyer niches (I will explain below)
  • Weight loss
  • Dating

Let me elaborate on why each of these niches are hot or are going to be in the very near future. I am in them all so I am dealing you the straight dope here:

Work at home/business opportunity - People are getting laid off, worried about money, hate their jobs even more due to increased work load with lay offs and the biz opps is always a good niche to be in because people will always need money and they will almost always hate their jobs. If you are a biz opp product owner or are thinking about being one, keep an eye out for some juicy tips from me on how to pull thousands of more dollars a month on your customers.

How to tap into this niche: Create a biz opp review site featuring the best selling biz opp products at clickbank. Next you will want to setup a few adwords campaigns for the product names of the products on your review site. For example, let’s say that you had these 3 products on you’re review site:

-Commissions Blueprint

-My Online Income System

-Home Cash Course

You would create three campaigns with these product names as the keywords. By doing this you are only getting ready to buy visitors that only need a little re-assurance from you that these products are legit. You WILL make sales this way and this is the safe way to go into a lot of niches where products have a “brand name”

Desperate buyer niches - Again, people need a damn good reason to break out that credit card and when there is no better time than when they are desperate for a solution to their problem. Some good examples of desperate buyer niches are people with personal issues like acne, registry and virus fixes, anxiety and panic, yeast infections etc…Find the products that people need right now and are willing to do whatever it takes to solve their problem.

Weight Loss - New years is just around the corner! People are eating like crap right now and will make new years resolutions to shed the fat for spring. You will want to prepare for this niche now by either creating a review site like we did in the biz opp niche or even create your own product. Clickbank has a few good converting weight loss products and keep an eye on the CPA networks for diet offers over the next few weeks.

Dating - Dating season is in full stride so you need to again get a review site going with the highest paying dating offers from your favorite CPA network. I prefer NeverBlue ads or COPEAC for dating offers and you would be suprised how easily the conversions come along on the dating offers. I would stick with full bore PPC advertising or contextual advertising on these offers. There are also plenty of low competition keywords that you could try to nail on organic traffic with articles and worpress blogs. Check out the Adwords category for some good PPC techniques.

Money is being made guys, you just got be aggressive in the right niches at the right time. I will do my best to keep you on top of them but you need to stay on your toes and move with what’s hot. These niches I laid out here today are hot now so make a move.
